CARACAS (click to go to the bio!)

An explosive musical experiment that smashes together Punk rock, Ska beats, Jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, tons of Latin mojo and a kickass live show.

Caracas to open for Caramelos de Cianuro!

It's official! Caracas will play a show with their high school rock heroes Caramelos de Cianuro (and scratch one off their bucket list!) :D

The show will happen at the awesome Rickshaw Theater on May 22nd (Sunday). A second supporting band is going to be announced soon.

We are bursting at the seams with excitement! Make sure you buy your tickets online at http://CDCVancouver.Ozonico.ca and RSVP at the Facebook page (if you're on FB) at https://www.facebook.com/events/466013906935510/

See you there!!

First show of 2016!

Hello friends! We are starting our year with a cool little show at the super rad Lanalou's Rock n Roll Eatery (http://livevan.com/lanalous)
on March 17th, where we played once before back in 2012, when Caracas was just starting, and it was only Javier and Victor! This time around we were invited by our buddies from the very danceable ska band The Upside (www.theupsideband.com). Big Madge (www.bigmadge.com) will play as well!

Here's the FB event:

Come on out, and see you there!

Thanks for a rocking 2015, see you in 2016!

We had a blast playing our last show of the year with Disco Funeral and Reset to Beautiful at the amazing Red Room Ultra Bar. Thank you to everyone who came out to dance and have a good time - what a great way for us to start our much needed break to rest from a crazy awesome year and to write new material! Keep on keeping on, gang, and see you in 2016! Check out these pics taken by our friends Kevin, Gemma and Thomas! PLOMO CON EL HAMPA!

Watch "Bring on the Playtime" Music Video, and come to our last show!

After months of hard work, polishing and mixing the song with our producer buddy Dylan (plus adding percussion tracks with our new drummer Greg), and working with our filmmaker buddy Shaun Walford, shooting video around Vancouver, we finally crossed the finish line - and are now super proud of the result! Can't wait to share it with you! Check out the video on YouTube below, or go to our Facebook page and watch it there (over 12,000 views and over 50 shares in less than two weeks! woohoo!)

Huge thanks to Shaun Walford (his company Shot by a Ninja is def worth your time!) for the spectacular work on the video, and to Dylan Ellis (his official Facebook page has all the goodies!) for the incredible work recording and mixing "Bring on the Playtime"! (And just wait until he's done mixing the other three songs that will be included in our upcoming EP in the Spring of 2016!)

For now, we will be playing our last show in a few months as we take a break to write new songs and rest from the crazy year that just passed! Don't miss your chance to catch us live this coming Saturday, December 5th at the Red Room Ultra Bar on Hastings and Richards, downtown Vancouver (check out the poster below). What an awesome venue, and what a great way to close the year!

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive so far in this journey with us - hard to believe it's been almost 5 years! :D See you in 2016!
Go Caracas Go!

Caracas shoots music video!

We spent a number of weekends with film director Shaun Walford from production outfit Shot by a Ninja, shooting the awesome music video for our upcoming re-vamped version of "Bring on the Playtime" (available in our upcoming 4 song EP of the same name). We spared no punches and this video has it all - from street shots to beach parties, from high def RED cameras to drone aerial shots! We seriously can't wait until its all done and ready to share with you!

Video screening party date and awesome supporting bands TBA soon!

Here are some preview pics so you can share our excitement! :D
